| 1315967 | 2012-12-02 21:09:00 | Your fridge is suffering withdrawal symptoms. After the shift, it has decided to abandon its former frosty policies and have a thawing in relations. It obviously needs a new position raising bread and making yoghurt. Either that or it has sprung a leak and lost its refrigerant as a part of a "We shall not be moved policy". |

| 1315968 | 2012-12-02 21:22:00 | Just repaired a fridge/freezer with this problem, a Westinghouse FreeStyle. Is your fridge a frost-free type with a freezer below it? Can you hear the fan going? Is the freezer cold but the fridge hot? The defrost thermostat was the problem in the machine I looked at, part cost $55, unbelievable, no wonder the economy is stuffed. Defrost thermostat has to go low at around 0degC to activate the heater that defrosts the evaporator and allows the fan to blow cold air up to the fridge, can't do that if the cooling elements are covered in ice because the thermostat is open circuit and the heater never heats. A timer switches off the compressor when the heater is on. |
