1317105 2012-12-28 23:45:00 If one is depressed, one could probably do without a couple of Oz gits aggravating the condition. Cicero (40)
1317106 2012-12-28 23:47:00 Its not the aussies fault the nurse was depressed. She should have pulled herself together. prefect (6291)

Good to see you understand depression.

1317108 2012-12-29 00:21:00 Course he does. Prefect understands everything. Unless you have been there prefect stop making stupid comments. You might want to read this. (www.depression.org.nz)

1317109 2012-12-29 00:38:00 In defence of prefect, surely a qualified nurse albeit presumably not specifically trained, would recognise the symptoms and in her work environment there would be ample opportunity to ask for - and get - help.

I guess we'll never know though. It may be the nurse was terrified of admitting her problem - of admitting inadequacy or failure.

Rationally, the prank should have been dismissed as just that, as did Prince Charles initially. I hope the pranksters are receiving qualified help meantime.

And yes, I've been there.

1317110 2012-12-29 00:50:00 I am very sorry but I dont go along with all the new age thinking on depression. prefect (6291)
1317111 2012-12-29 01:05:00 The original issues still exists, of the "DJ's" (short for Dumb Jerks?) providing a flase identity, impersonating a monach no less, and extracting private personal information, and broadcasting that information worldwide.

How their lawyers could ever sign off approval on this is mind boggling. Probably a good sign they need better lawyers, as well as better ethics.

1317113 2012-12-29 10:35:00 The whole thing is ridiculous! If the Nurse was depressed or of unsound mind, why was she at work? Why was the hospital employing people that are not well? No confidential information was given, the whole world knew why the Princess was in Hospital. The Queen does not have an Australian accent, and would not use a phone anyway, she would have been kept fully informed. Maybe, if the nurse wasn't an Indian she would have understood the difference between an 'Ozzy' and a 'Pom'! You can't blame the idiots who pulled the prank. If anyone was to blame it would have been the Hospital administration, the nurses work mates and family for not supporting her and getting her treatment. mzee (3324)
