Free will precludes good vs evil... if there was no free will, wouldn't that make said deity malevolent because we would *have* to behave in a certain way? Although there is evil in this world, you could argue there is a certain amount of compassion from whatever deity created us (If you believe that happened) because we have free will and aren't being *forced* to worship him / them 24/7. That seems rather benevolent if you ask me, that a God would create humankind but not force them to worship him, instead allowing them to either not worship any God or even still to worship others. (Arguing the point, just for the sake of it) |

Or God could be malevolent, letting people freely choose what they want to believe and then punishing those who choose wrong for a bit of a laugh. |
