1316615 2012-12-05 22:26:00 When was the last time that DIA or anybody else for that matter, ran a complete audit on Ministers and their daily allowances, postage stamp allowances, overnight allowances, spouses allowances, travel allowances, overseas expenses, telephone accounts etc etc?

They were always abused :(

And you forgot to mention movies in hotel rooms....

1316616 2012-12-05 22:51:00 Peters just looking after his voter base

Peters voter base(the Elderly,Bewildered and two sandwiches short of a picnic brigade ) would desert his PartyYou may get to be old yourself one day, but I doubt it with that attitude!!. And no, I didn't vote for NZ First.

1316617 2012-12-05 23:14:00 There's a lot of talk, about whether Horan should resign from parliament altogether.
Of course he should - as he was never elected (being a list member) he does have have a mandate to serve if he does not belong to any party.
He does not represent any voters - there were none - he was appointed.
$150,000 a year is a pretty good incentive to stick around !!

Labour and National both had a chance to do the right thing in that anyone getting in as a list candidate when leaving the party ceased to be a member of parliament but they chose not to.
There is that and the fact that they won't make referendums binding means neither will ever get my vote.

1316624 2012-12-09 02:03:00 I like Winston. It seems he never goes on the attack without making absolutely sure he can back up his allegations. His crusades are accurately focused, the consummate apprentice of a Master. All in all, he seems squeaky clean. No personal scandals and no involvement of his personal life whatsoever. WalOne (4202)
