1316298 2012-12-04 10:00:00 Anybody who takes the law in their own hands and dishes out street justice should be dealt with by the courts.

If the scum ( the child abuser) ends up in prison, they have "ways" of dealing with low life no matter how much protection from others they are meant to have.

We do hear that , anecdoatally, and years ago it was probably true.

But is it really true nowadays ?

If they separate them, there there is not much chance of anything happening.

1316302 2012-12-04 18:26:00 This type of thing is born out of frustration with the Legal System we’ve allowed to develop where the rights and rehabilitation of the Villain is the Courts primary consideration, and stuff the Victim.

You will note that already Judge Peter Rollo is expressing concern about the Villains welfare. Well I'm not. :D

1316303 2012-12-04 20:27:00 One point for me anyway. My comments relate to vigilante justice being wrong and the actions of the attacker being wrong also. In no way am I remotely concerned about the guy that was attacked or his treatment at any point In the future. He deserves whatever he gets.

However I still maintain advocating violence or vigilante justice is just completely wrong. Leave punishment to the system, if you feel strongly that that doesn't' work either do something about it or stop your whingeing. Taking the law into your own hands I's not an option, changing the law is.

1316304 2012-12-04 20:30:00 Didn't see any reference in the report to a gang member, or was that an assumption?

Picture the next step along this path; you're wandering down the footpath minding your own business when someone who doesn't approve of you leaps out and gives you the bash. His defense is that he thought you were another person and deserved a bashing.

1316305 2012-12-04 20:32:00 +1 Bobh - Legal system still states this is assualt .

CSO are scum - I fully agree . What's the bet the street crime gets worse than the CSO and not just for the simple fact it will most prob be not his first offence . . . :(

It was mentioned in the inital report just after the insident that the attacker was wearing "Gang Colours" . . . Could have just been a Blue/Red/Black/White/Green/Orange etc T-Shirt :D
