1315902 2012-12-02 10:28:00 I don't want you concerning yourself Zqwert, you could do yourself a mischief. Cicero (40)
1315903 2012-12-02 19:42:00 The whole end result of the wager is meaningless, because how do you live your life as though there is a god? It's not as though there are any coherent, unambiguous instructions from this supposed being on the best way to do that anyway, so you just end up making it up as you go along. Therefore a complete waste of time. MushHead (10626)
1315904 2012-12-02 19:50:00 I am glad that makes sense to you Mush. Cicero (40)
1315905 2012-12-02 20:08:00 My goodness. Pascal was right. I should live as though God is real. And Zeus. And Kali. And Poseidon. Osiris. Thor and Odin. Oh no. How do I know *which* god might be real. I'm not sure I can follow the precepts of every god just in case. Some of them conflict in their precepts. And if I follow Zeus, won't Yahweh be angry at me, for taking another god? What is Zeus is the real one, and I follow Yahweh?

I'm stuffed either way. May as well believe in none and hope being a good person will see me through.

Phew. Thank goodness I thought that through. ;)

You were offered the wager, you complicated it to nonsensical shilly shallying, so, so be it.

1315907 2012-12-02 22:07:00 So you'd have taken Pascal's wager as seriously if it used Zeus as the god? Cool. Good to know.

On the whole I don't think the above mentioned deities enter into our thinking of late.

We were thinking of our local god.

Local god? *scratches head* You're Shinto?

I don't gamble, but thanks :-)
