The boot sequence is set up in the BIOS, this sequence tells the basic startup softawe of your computer (BIOS) what device to look for first for information to get your computer up and running. Often it looks for a floppy drive first then your HDD C: drive to laod an OS, Nowdays with recovery and windows CD's we want it to look for the CD rom drive (where youv'e put the recovery CD) before the hard drive (HDD) so the recovery disc can do its job before the OS tries to laod. So back to the beginning, what type is your BIOS? then someone with the same BIOS can walk you through the steps of setting it to boot to CD. I have set mine for eg, to boot to floppy the CD the C:.
