| 156500 | 2003-06-30 12:01:00 | I've recently been given a Sun 17" monitor from a friend who couldn't use it due to its 13w3 plug. Can this monitor be used with a standard VGA video card, are there any limitations, and does anyone know where I can get an adapter for 13w3 to 15-pin VGA? (without paying $70 for it!) :) Thanks for your help!! | Space_coyote (759) | ||
| 156501 | 2003-07-01 02:57:00 | I have the other end of the problem. I have a sun work station and cant get an adaptor for using it with a VGA display. as far as I know you can hock them up with some limites of the refresh rate and such like. as for &70 for the adaptor, I was told itmine would be $150 so you have it easy :-) where are you in NZ?? we might be able to get togeather and solve our problems togeather?? |

That's why the proper cables are expensive. :D The pinout for the special connector should be easy to find ... I've seen it/got it somewhere. |
