2003-07-02 17:03:00 | I have an external 4x4x6x cd writer.I've closed all my programs and i've end tasked all the programs using ctrl-alt-del. and only 3 programs .Rundll, loadqm and explorer is running. However while trying to rip a cd using adaptec cd creator The burning goes at 50% and then buffer just drops and closses my cdr. Any idea??

2003-07-03 05:36:00 | The mp3 is in the hardrive and copying to a cdrw which will conver to audio format for my discman to play.Thats called burning right? | yingxuan (3330) | |
2003-07-03 05:48:00 | might be best to convert the mp3 to wave before you try burning it to cd. also if you are burning it to cd so it can be played in a cd player (ie non-pc) then use cdr not cdrw. also stop rundll and loadqm. only thing you need is explorer.

2003-07-03 06:27:00 | Maybe you need a something to free up your memory. Cd burning generally requires a lot of processor and memory useage. So you might not have enough system ram to burn. Try Freemem Pro (www.3bsoftware.com) If it sort of stops at 50%, just let it run for another 5mins and see how its going. Maybe the buffer is full and its waiting for it to clear, or something. :)

2003-07-03 07:40:00 | ripping a cd is when you rip audio cd tracks off a cd to your hardrive and usually you convert them to mp3. burning a cd is is putting data onto a writeable cd with a cd writer.
