156994 2003-07-02 10:24:00 OK guys, I need some help here... I recently switched to K-Lite (2.1 K++) and every single time that I run it, it crashes after a few minutes of running (Kazaa Lite has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. (Yeah Right!)). I have done everything that I can think of to correct this to no avail. Here are the steps that I have gone through to try to correct this:

Uninstalled all previous versions of kazaa and installed K-Lite with option to remove all previous registry entries.
Uninstalled K-Lite and all existing .dat files. (possible corruption?)
Used RegCleaner and removed all existing registry entries for any version of Kazaa or K-Lite.
Manually deleted all files/folders for Kazaa and K-Lite left over.
Downloaded new K-Lite install file. (possible corrupted installer?)
Killed all non-essential processes and XP services.
Ran Norton AV 2003 Pro - No viruses.
Ran AdAware6 Pro - Killed all spyware.
At this point Kazaa and K-Lite essentially have never existed on this system, right?
Install K-Lite from fresh installer to new location.
Have tried installing on multiple partitions with same results.
All the while, rebooting as necessary.

My System:
Athlon 900Mhz
320MB RAM
And plenty of space and hardware that shouldn't be a problem.

Guys, I'm at a loss for solutions here, and I could really use your help.

Thanx in advance

oh yea...
i also installed the k-lite codec pack before all this happened...
is there a way to uninstall codecs?

156995 2003-07-02 12:18:00 K++ edition is probably the best. If you are having problems with it, try downgrading to a slightly older version of the k++. I think the later one has a few bugs? My speedup program is crashing a bit - and it never used to. :|

When installing, check the 'uninstall all registry keys' option. And only install, avi preview, speed up, and sig2dat. Leave the rest :)

Codec packs - argh!
Remove them they cause problems. (Add/remove programs) Find out which codecs in particular the pack installed and download and install those codecs individually.

You can edit the codecs on your system by going:
Control Panel -> Sounds/Audio devices -> Hardware tab -> Select video/audio codecs -> click properties.
