| 156816 | 2003-07-02 03:21:00 | Win ME on a HP pavillion 6726 System Restore used to keep several restore points a week. We have reloaded Windows recently and it does not do this now, only at software alterations. How do I reactivate it? |

| 156817 | 2003-07-02 08:45:00 | well im working on win xp. but im guessing it should be the same, go to sontrol panel, then look for system and click on it. Now click on the system restore tab, or any tab that has a siimilar meaning and just playaround there and see if anything there has anything to do with scheduled restoration points. Or go to start menu, accesories, system tools and see if the system restore points are given shecduled timings. cheers, v.K |

| 156819 | 2003-07-02 10:04:00 | If memory serves me correctly there is an update at microsoft for ME system restore which fixs some of its glitchs. Pay to have a look as Im not sure what issues it resolves as I'm now using XP. Cheers Steve |

| 156820 | 2003-07-02 10:09:00 | This is what you need to do. Start your computer with your ME startup disk in the A drive and when prompted you need to select DOS. Once in DOS at the C prompt you need to type scanreg /restore ( space between the g and/ ) and then a screen will appear from which you can choose from 5 system restore points. (The 5 limit is set in your scanreg.ini file) So choose a system restore date before your problem arose and click ok. The computer will then restore and reboot to the date you choose.
