| 157327 | 2003-07-04 03:13:00 | I have just got a network card from QMB ($20 Realtek). After installing it and the software I noticed problems. At startup it says "the divice driver file etc cannot be found ..." and then has three different files dfs.vxd vredir.vxd vnesetup.vxd I am absolutely **** with networks. They never work for me. Any way system.ini didn't refer to any of those files. So I searched the registry and deleted any files that included any of those names after exporting them and that stopped those messages. But, the other thing that started happening was it was coming up, after loading into windows, "Cannot find the dll file MSNP32.DLL" I think this something to do with fonts, so I disabled it in system.ini, win.ini etc but that did not work. I have now taken the card out and not put any keys back in but MSNP32.DLL keeps coming up. OS is W98SE. If all else fails I'll just format and do a clean install.(X-() Did I mention networks hate me? |

| 157328 | 2003-07-04 06:29:00 | The $20 Realtek NIC cards are great value for money in my experience - have used lots under various versions of MSWIndows and Linux with next to no troubles. Download the latest drivers from the net and give it another go would be my next step. |
