157150 2003-07-03 06:11:00 just bought a new CD writer (52x48x52x by cyber drive) and followed all instructions when installing but it doesnt work when i try and burn. looked in MY COMPUTER under device manager and it seems to think that it is just a normal CD ROM drive, tried reinstalling and changing drivers and stuff like that but it dont help. also it says that this device doesnt need drivers to work. it shuld need drivers, shouldnt it?

p.s. i am running windows 98SE if that helps...

Have you installed the latest aspi drivers? if not you can get them here;

157156 2003-07-03 12:01:00 The other thing is nero express is a ***** to work with and if the drive shipped with express and youre trying to use Nero Burning Rom to do it...

My uncle had that problem but nero was the only that said it wasn't a CDRW.

If you got it from QMB they should see what the problem was for free (12month warranty) unless theres nothing wrong with it its $50.
