| 157096 | 2003-07-03 00:40:00 | Thanks Kiwitas for that advice. I just checked mine and I had two updates to download. Why is it though that I receive updates automatically and on a regular basis, yet I still have to manually download some. I have often wondered this and maybe you can enlighten me. Thanks Smithie |

| 157097 | 2003-07-03 00:50:00 | My Nortons System Works is set to download automatically, and always does so, except for this am, when it sent up a warning saying my virus defs were out of date, and did I want to check for updates? I have checked, and automatic updates is still checked. There were three downloads, one of which was for Norton Ghost, one was Common Events or something, and the other was updated defs. After download and installation, a reboot was necessary. When it rebooted, it took forever until a warning came up "Error - (1005,4) Integrity of Symantec product settings cannot be verified at this time..." It appeared as though I was going to have to uninstall and reinstall NSW to recover, but out of laziness I tried a reboot and everything seems to be OK now. Strange behaviour for an update... John |
