| 157080 | 2003-07-03 00:01:00 | Have new motherboard with 6 channnel on board sound and get sound on games which is excellent but on going to control panel sounds and setting up sounds such as opening windows error etc get no sound playback. What could be the problem as reinstalling audio drivers of motherboard disk makes no difference. | norrol (2154) | ||
| 157081 | 2003-07-03 10:38:00 | I had a similar problem once, and I discovered that windows events sounds ie, start up, shutdown, error etc only plays through the main channel only, and I was trying to listen to them on one of the other channels. Check you have speakers connected to the main channels. Games and even Winamp played through all of them which is why I could hear them but not the Windows sounds. Good Luck | sinndisco (4059) | ||
