| 157250 | 2003-07-03 11:10:00 | I'm not sure whether you can copy the Encarta files to your hard drive (not legally anyway) but if its srtictly for personal use I guess a CD drive emulator will do the trick. I use one called Virtual Drive, its great for playng games that usually require a disc in the CD dive, quicker and quieter. I don't know if there are any free ones out there, try a search of Google for, drive emulator or virtual cd drive. Cheers Murray P |

| 157251 | 2003-07-03 11:17:00 | You could use a virtual CD image for example. You make an image of the CD on your Hard drive. You then mount this image as an extra CDRom drive. For example I have a CDWriter and a DVD\CDRom reader and heaps of hard drive space. I run WinXP and CloneCD so I can make an IMAGE of the CD onto the Hard drive in a folder. Having made an IMAGE of the CD I can mount this image as an extra CDRom drive I don't actually have. Have a search on Google for Daemon 333. I hope this helps. |
