157596 2003-07-05 00:30:00 Hi Pete,
What program did you use to record/burn them and are you using the same software (winamp, musicmatch, wmp) to play them on?

157598 2003-07-05 03:34:00 Questions:

Do the other PCs have any programs capable of playing the music on the CD?

Can the other PCs read the files (you do not say what happens when you try to play the CD)

Did you finalise the CD when you burnt it ? (If you burnt MP3's, its possible only the CD burner can read the CD unless its finalised)

157600 2003-07-05 04:52:00 Hi, is the cd drive on the me machine an older model? A lot of older type cd drives have problems reading cd/r cd/rw disks. You could try swaping the drive from the 98 pc to the me machine and see if it will work that way.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

157602 2003-07-05 10:19:00 Does anybody understand what Pete's asking? He has named this post "Playing CD's" & speaks about "playing" cd's on several PC's. Most have assumed he is referring to music CD's, but is he? He also says he has D/L data from the net for burning. What sort of data?

GF posed some questions Pete. Some answers, together with a very clear description of what you are attempting, could help someone assist you.

That suggests to me that the CD was not finalised and the data is only visible on the CD-RW Drive (the other CD drives are probably not CD-RW, just CD) as I stated.

If you finalise the CD (the option that means you can't write any more to the CD) it will probably be readable in the other drives.
