157580 2003-07-09 10:46:00 Vinegar:
Middle English vinegre, from Old French vinaigre : vin, wine (from Latin vnum) + aigre, sour (from Vulgar Latin *acrus)

I rest my case. 'tis a fine line indeed between the two...but if you courier a free case or two I will further judge. Reds preferred, but whites accepted.

As to my palate, alas that has now succumbed to 8 weeks of intensive daily Radiation Treatment just finished, so you may be correct for the present and immediate future. But I have memories...

157581 2003-07-09 10:46:00 wow Thomas i knew you said you were old but a 15 th century wine grower is just a little bit older than i first assumed you were.....

and so my sample idea was close..... thought i should know that word from my past training (horticulture not wineing!!!! LOL)

By the way......how did you pick my occupation before my second post?
Sure you aren't mixing some peyote with that vinegar - oh sorry, I mean Hobart Muddy (which is known for its fine bouquet like an aboriginals armpit)

157585 2003-07-09 23:13:00 I think it will be agreed that a specious argument has been invoked and further more as Winston’s testimony made clear we need to retain the Privy Council to resolve such issues in the future.I think this can be fairly compared to the present confusion with regard to sea bed etc.
A vigneron is a wine grower not a wine maker, so GF if you would like a ton of Pinot Noir grapes so that your tiny feet can turn them into wine or in your case perhaps into vinegar, just let me know.
Winson, both Carlos Castaneda and I have our ways, it may or may not include peyote,I couldn’t possibly comment.
Yes Beetle we do indeed go back to the 15th century, though it would seem some would doubt the veracity of the evidence.;)

157589 2003-07-10 19:24:00 > Thomas what is a Vigneron?

A vigneron was what the central character in "The Vintner's Luck" actually was. He grew grapes for wine; but he didn't make it. People who make wine *are* vintners.
