157553 2003-07-07 23:52:00 Unemployed . Hoping to fix that soon enough, but unluckily, I've got no qualifications on paper . Sad to say that the days of 'Well, go out there and show me if you can do the job' are gone . WARNING - GIANT PLUG INBOUND!!! If anybody out there still has that sort of attitude, feel free to contact me . I'd love to just prove to somebody that I can do something, without having to say things like 'Yes sir, I know my CV only contains one job and it's at a gas station . . . '

Anyways . Only have the one computer - and it started it's life as a 386 . Due for more upgrading, but it's currently a K6-2 500 .

ANd that's me . Still old enough to remember DOS - and know how to use it well enough to get very bored when they taught it to me in College (Windows NT 4 days . . . ) ('Yes miss, I do know how to copy a file, where do you want it?') Those were the days . . . Back when the 486 ruled the roost (I got bought one, 2 weeks before the pentium was produced . Damn Damn Damn . ) and having 8 Mb of Ram wold mean you owned a supercomputer . Back when making Rise of the Triad (Goriest Game EVER!!!) (At the time) was the biggest challenge I faced . It was an 8Mb game . I had 4 . Back when I had gotten so good at Descent by playing it at about 2 frames a second that playing it on the school's Pentium machines meant death from above to all! Days when I was the envy of all my friends for having 400Mb of hard-drive space . Back when keyboard shortcts were all there was .

Man I feel old, and I'm only 20 . . .

Well, that's my ramble for the day . Until next time .

I have tooo many computers, 5 infact, but (reluctantly) i'll be throwing out a 386 today *sigh* They were all prebuilt (cos 4 of them i got second hand) but i've pretty much ripped everything apart on them anything :P

157555 2003-07-08 02:44:00 Im a student at Massey High, 6th form. Doing Physics, 13Chemistry, Computer Science, Maths and English. Hope to get a job in Engineering (large student loan ahead :( )

Had a 386DX when I was 5... im just turned 16... Had doom, jazz jack rabbit, all the classics... was a PC Direct machine. Learnt DOS on it. lol i can still remember how to use it. probably the first one in west auckland with a CD-ROM and SoundBlaster 16.

Later got a PIII 733 in 2000 and thats when I got back into computers. got it from Pb technologies. Remember screwing up windows on the first day. that also when I started buying PC world. got a subscription in 2002.

Made my own computer this year... Built a Athlon 2000 with a Geforce 4 Ti4200. running sweet but somethings wrong with graphics.

157558 2003-07-09 02:10:00 I'm an accountant........
I never wanted to do this in the first place......
I always wanted to be.....

A LUMBERJACK!

Leaping from tree to tree, as they float down the mighty rivers of British Columbia, with my best girl by my side.

The Larch.
The Mighty Scots Pine
The Giant Sequoia

(piano intro)

Oooohhh.... I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay
I eat my lunch and I work all day

(repeat for chorus)

I cut down trees
I eat my lunch
I go to the lavatree
On Wednesdays I go shopping
And have buttered scones for tea

(chorus)

I cut down trees
I skip and jump
I like to press wild flowers
I put on womens clothing and hang around in bars...............
