157961 2003-07-06 22:08:00 Hi One and all
My wifes PC has started having an unusual problem.
P3 600 Win 98 SE 256 Meg RAM.
When opening files with PhotoShop she gets an error "Scratch Pad error Insufficient room on C:\
When looking at the properties of the C: drive there is 3.5 Gig free.
On checking Virtual Memory I found that Windows was assigning the complete free disk space to Virtual Memory. So I then manually assigned 1 Gig to Virtual Mem and rebooted.
The problem still exists, I have Scan Disked and Defragged
The files being opened are 56 - 60 meg and the HD is 13 Gig.

Am I missing something

Cheers
HH

157962 2003-07-07 06:17:00 The Adobe support site has some possible solutions to try when getting a similar message (when editing though, not just opening files) which may be worth a look.

Error "Scratch Disk is Full" When Editing a File in Photoshop (www.adobe.com)

When I can get my wife off her PC I'll try some of those options.

Cheers
