157867 2003-07-06 10:30:00 I would say that something is deffinately fried in the PC as to what I can't decide from what you gave in info. At a guess I would say the MB. mikebartnz (21)
157868 2003-07-06 11:23:00 This is clutching at straws, but you got nothing to lose by trying. Lightning strikes don't just hit your gear through the power connections, it also gets in through the phone lines and hits the modems. If you have an internal modem, dive inside and remove it. It could be fried and dragging down the rest of the system with it. sinndisco (4059)
157869 2003-07-06 11:32:00 Deffinately worth a try. mikebartnz (21)
157870 2003-07-06 11:35:00 also find the jumper and reset your bios. metla (154)
157871 2003-07-07 02:24:00 More or clearer info would be useful, as you say the monitor shows "no signal" which normally indicates there's no graphics card capability, yet you can get to other screens. Greg S (201)
157872 2003-07-07 02:47:00 NO SIGNAL., but works in Safe mode.

It is probably running at too high a resolution for the refresh rate selected.

Set the refresh rate to 60 hz when in Safe mode. If it is Windows NT, you may need to do into the registry to change this.
