2003-07-06 09:00:00 | Problem: sometime , not very often, in the midst of writing an e-mail, when using the backspace, the letters in front of the cursor keep disappearing, and once that has started it keeps doing it. Why & what to do?

2003-07-06 09:03:00 | Have you checked under the backspace button for any fluff or other debris that could cause the key to stick? | Jen C (20) | |
2003-07-06 09:39:00 | been ages since i've had this but next time it happens try hitting the insert key. | tweak'e (174) | |
2003-07-06 09:49:00 | I've sometimes had the problem when I have inadvertently hit the insert key and like tweak'e had to hit the insert key again to fix. However it seems peculiar and different that it is happening when using the backspace ! In any case it seems worth giving tweak'e's suggestion a go. Misty ?:|

2003-07-06 11:32:00 | ive had this problem too..... and have inadvertently lost whole words this way as wasnt watching the screen just fixing a mistake and reading page while typing and then look up and what ive typed and so called fixed is gone! and it seems to work from that word or letter so the end of the sentence gets shorter but it eats from the middle to the end ...? towards the right ? beetle
