158103 2003-07-07 22:05:00 click on start and then run an type msconfig and go top startup and un tick the programme up don,t want at start up holden (2488)
158104 2003-07-07 22:23:00 Some programmes like MSN and Yahoo need to be told directly not to start up. In the options/preferences in these programmes just untick run program when windows start .

158105 2003-07-08 04:41:00 The start up control panel is quite a handy programme at www.mlin.net It makes setting the start up pretty easy and I've used it for quite a while.

There are also a whole host of similar things I suspect.

Should find more at somewhere like Web Attack www.webattack.com

158106 2003-07-08 05:00:00 I just checked in Web Attack - they have 15 different start up manager in Freeware alone. I didn't look at the Shareware section. twelvevolts (2623)
158107 2003-07-08 21:51:00 Thanks Team

ALL good stuff

Ran msconfig etc and that seemed to do the trick - will "explore" it all more fully 'at my liesure' ....

Now to repair Outlook Express - probably need to kill off remaining rules and start again ...
