158023 2003-07-07 06:10:00 Recently on every startup (and out of the blue) I get an error message that the mentioned files do not match. I queried the Symantec knowledgebase about the message and a recipe was given to solve the mismatch error. I had to dowload their sevinst.exe file, run it (with administrator privileges) and reboot my PC. Unfortunately the error message re-appears at each startup. The error message seems not to effect my PC (used for office apps). Symantec seems to have an email firewall around the shop and I wonder where I can turn for help. F1 perhaps? Anyone able and willing to help me along? Auke (4179)
158024 2003-07-07 07:53:00 Which Norton product are you using? There are more suggestions for resolving this issue if running the downloaded SEVINST.EXE does not work, but they are for Norton Utilities.

Norton Utilities 2002 v6.0 - WinNT/2000/XP (service1.symantec.com) - Error: "S32EVNT1.DLL and SYMEVNT.386 do not match" or "Unable to dynamically load NPROTECT.VxD"

If you are using Norton Utilities, but not 2002 v6.0 for that OS, have a dig around the site for your version (but a quick look shows all the instructions to be the same).
