| 158354 | 2003-07-08 22:42:00 | I tried to install Win2000 Pro and during the installation the computer locked up and I had to reboot using Win 98 boot disk. I then created Win2000 setup floppys and proceeded to install Win 2000. The installation was successful, but then i found on rebooting that i had 2 options for OS to choose from. It appears that on 1 option this is the aborted installation and the other option is the subsequent installation. How can I remove the incomplete option from the boot ? |

You have to boot into the "good installation" and then right click on "my computer", go down to properties. Find the "advanced" tab then go into the "startup and recovery" section. In here should be a drop down list of the two installations and how long the boot menu or operating systems list is displayed for. Change the appropriate setting and reboot. Hope this works for you. | demonmors (1299) | ||
