| 158654 | 2003-07-10 04:45:00 | ive got a compaq with 20g that has ME and ive tried unsucessfully to fdisk the hard drive because my friend opened an email and on start-up my screen was full of $$$$$$$$, and i am unable to read text as letters and numbers are changed. can anyone help |

| 158656 | 2003-07-10 05:29:00 | How old is the computer? Is it still under guarantee? Have you got the recovery CD, or a Windows ME installation CD? Did you make the recovery floppy? You should be able to get a copy of the appropriate boot disk from www.bootdisks.com/ . However, have you got a friend who knows this stuff to help you? It is very difficult to help you with a process which can go wrong in so many ways by remote control. It's so much easier for someone sitting at the keyboard of your computer. :D |
