Brilliance, radiant splendor :)

Thanks for looking after WFTWE for me while I was away Sis :x. I couldn't resist the temptation to log on from Florida and I was hugely impressed by the positive response you received for your first effort (and a little envious).

I was less impressed by the small number of negative comments that flowed as I thought it was only me who attracted those. Never mind though, life is full of alter kockers and they are crosses we bear for daring to stand up.

Cheers

[pre][b]Alter kockers? Well you will
have to look that one up yourselves,
but Erica Jong had a handle on the genre.

"alter kockers" +erica jong" & hit
"I Feel Lucky". The answer is about
halfway down the page.

How come a word with such a nice meaning, instead brings to mind someone suffering from serious digestive problems ?:|

Nevermind, it is a nice cheerful word for an otherwise dreary winters day :)

158825 2003-07-11 06:19:00 sorry to say this Billy T but what Jen c says i first thought to!!!!!!!

and nearly fell off me chair from a laugh that turned into a coughing fit!!!

as to this i have the flu now, as a consequence have lost my voice so very difficult to answer phone or door!

so am not feeling very radiant or splendorous......

but well done BT gave me a laugh or two.

and why does it bring back memories of last weeks word and thinking about Worzel Gumidge?
maybe he had bad odour to?

could be abrand name for a new indegestion tablet or effervisor?

158826 2003-07-11 06:57:00 Well folks, you may remember

Pulchritudinous

A very early WFTWE that sounds like a description for something you scraped off the bottom of your shoe, but means:

Beautiful

I just pick 'em folks, I don't make them up. :8}

Cheers

Aww Billy, no need for the sad face :). Effulgence does sound nice when you say it (heck, at least this WFTWE is pronounceable!), it is just me and my word associations .....
remind me never to play word association games, it would be most incriminating :p

No problem Billy, it was a real honour. :-)

Aw heck.... you know you're entitled to take 99% of the credit for that, Billy. :8} :p

> Sorry Sis, I meant well

And you did well. You can't judge things by their wrapping, it is the beauty inside that counts. :-)

> There'll be even more effulgence now that you have returned!

Absolutely! It is great to have you back again. :-)
