Windows XP - when I want to reboot, I select "Restart", but all that happens is the PC turns off and I have to manually start. (This after selecting "Start" then "Turn off Computer" first, in the best MS fashion of course!) Is there anything I can set so this function does what it's meant to? |

Has your computer always done this if not have you changed anything lately/ installed any new programs. The only other thing I can think of is does your motherboard have the correct drivers installed does it have an installation cd if so try reinstalling |

I agree this is a possible consideration. As is checking that the operating system is correctly installed / functioning correctly with SFC or other methods. |
