159124 2003-07-12 12:02:00 High quality PC's with Excellent customer service once you actually find the right place to go ;-)

An acceptable price-tag for high-end PC's!

IMHO - Well worth the extra few bucks for anybody wanting to purchase a new PC :-)

159125 2003-07-12 12:38:00 If nothing else, it's worth getting a Dell just for the case. I wish I could easly buy a case like Dell use with the nice "break in half" opeing. Makes it so easy to install everything...

And I don't think that prices are actually to far off for good pcs.

159126 2003-07-12 12:53:00 Ah yeah.. I remember openening the last dell to throw a DVD reader in it.. couldnt have been simpler.. took all of 2 minutes, lol!

And no, you are right.. some cases they are cheaper than other leading brands!

159127 2003-07-12 12:56:00 They are a good conservative buy.

Only problem is they use non-standard parts (like most OEMs). So if something goes wrong it can be a problem.

159128 2003-07-12 12:58:00 Just don't go for PC Company. Dell should be ok as long as they don't dish out recovery operating systems cds. Enough said. PoWa (203)
159129 2003-07-13 01:19:00 sorry but dell like most other big manafactures use recovery cd's.

Dell do make quite good pc's and i would certainly prefer a dell do a pcCO one any day. however non standard parts can be a problem but that fairly normall for the BIG manafactures. only sad thing i have seen is them still useing tnt vanta video cards......argghhhhh. even a cheapo sis 315 runs faster than those.

No-one asked about the PC Company Powa . Haven't we been down the "I hate the PC Company track" enough . Give it a break

159131 2003-07-13 03:41:00 As an example ... try "dell atx non-standard" in google.

Looks like real smoke testing for upgraders. :_|

Dell may have changed their policy ("we don't make standard computers") ... the last of the few links I looked at wasdated May 2002, but this is something to be aware of.

Look, I have the right to my opinion. Its called freedom of speech and you nor anyone else can tell me what I can and can't say.

This is a public forum and people can give their opinions if they wish. Who are you to comment on them.
