| 159117 | 2003-07-12 12:15:00 | O.S win2k P4 Fresh install of win2k, hook up printer, win2k finds driver, print test page, cool everbody happy. But then at some stage later when I go to print it comes up with send a fax. O.k very funny so I go in to Control panel>printers> set hp810c as default printer. But then when I try to print it just hangs (not the computer just the printing )for about half a minute then comes up with an error message that I cannot remember. Never had this prob with win98 Any clues? |

| 159118 | 2003-07-12 12:31:00 | Bad grammar - printer probably doesn't like bad grammar. Remove and reinstall the driver software for a start. Iterate the loaded application software and modifications to the operating software. Another option - go back to 98 |

As for down grading back to win98 is like trading in an impreza for a lada because the cigarette ligter was broken. Anyway I shall have a go at driver reinstall. Cheers Guys |

| 159122 | 2003-07-12 23:59:00 | I got the freakin thing going but not really knowing which step was the right one, I kinda got my fingers crossed. When I went to remove hardware, I could not find the printer anyware. I guess it should be on lpt1 but the only driver was the port driver itself. So I got desperate & just deleted the printer. Then stole the usb cable from my scanner, used it for the printer. So know I'm back in action. |
