My four year old ADI Microscan 5P/5P+ 17" monitor has started 'fading out'. This occurs at bootup when the POST screen background is grey rather than black, and once Windows loads, the colours are faded and there are vertical stripes of white through the desktop. Have checked all connections and drivers and degauss. Is my monitor dying?...or is there some bug that causes this, and that has a remedy?
My system is MSI Athlon 1900XP based with onboard nVidia graphics and 512MB RAM. I operate WinXP Pro. |
