| 159539 | 2003-07-16 06:21:00 | My goodness. I used to use winamp all the time but I got a new player with the audigy sound card so have been using that one. I just downloaded the latest winamp 2.91. I just checked the CPU usage with it and was absolutley amazed Playing a Music video in 2X sized was only using 13% and at Fullscreen was using 16 to 18%. Media Player sits on 60 to 75% just for damn audio Video is about 80%. The Creative player is slightly better at 50% to 65%. I am sticking with Winamp once more :D |

| 159540 | 2003-07-16 06:32:00 | Some users didn't like the Winamp 3 version - too bloated and slow etc. Anyway the makers decided to keep developing the 2xx series as it was more popular or whatever. I read that they will be releasing Winamp 5 in the near future (2 + 3 = 5). So that should be the best of both and should stop some of the confusion :) |
