| 159691 | 2003-07-14 11:19:00 | Hi Team Xtra knocking is a popular spectator sport on F1 so here's a good-news story to show it's not all bad: My Jetstream line went dead this afternoon at around 4pm, so I called the Xtra help line. There was a 2 minute wait then I was talking to a real helpful person who listened to the problem and immediately passed me on to the Jetstream team (staying on line to ensure my call wasn't lost.) The next person was equally helpful, ran me through some simple Q & A without insulting my intelligence and after deciding it was probably the interface card at my local exchange, logged a service call for me. A few minutes later Alstom rang to tell me they would be onto it by 6:30-7:00 latest as soon as their man was finished his prior calls, but they couldn't guarantee resumption of service before 10pm. They rang back at 7:00pm to say that the exchange card was faulty but their man had run out of spares and would go back to their depot (30 min drive across Auckland) to get another. Under the circumstances I would have understood if the final fix had been deferred to morning! Within an hour my line came up again, and five minutes later the Alstom tech rang to make sure all was working OK. Top marks to Telecom/Xtra, and also to their subcontractor Alstom and the guys in that team for superb service, and for keeping their word. () () () () () hhh Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 159694 | 2003-07-14 11:41:00 | I have to say that I have never had a problem with Xtra. I haven't had to call the help line except for Customers that can't remember their password when I have reformatted the hard drive. It's their password and I have no way of recovering that before formatting as it were. The Xtra team have been very good at that too. |
