| 159619 | 2003-07-14 06:36:00 | On closing down a document the screen display is not cleared completely and a box containing text from the closed document is left on screen on top of any new document or program opened. Has anyone come across this problem. I have experienced this at more than one location. | lerl (4229) | ||

Seems to be more prevalent with on-board graphics chipsets using "shared memory". Updating the video drivers to the latest ones may help. If you can identify which application last used the "box" area of the screen then uninstall and reinstall that application. It usually co-incides with a dialogue box or display from an e-mail, antivirus or similar program. That worked once for me, and all has been fine since. |
