| 159597 | 2003-07-14 06:08:00 | Do you get that message accessing xp or 98 or both? In your sharing options do you have a user or password specified? |

| 159598 | 2003-07-14 07:52:00 | How have you setup file sharing? Simple or login based? If it's simple file sharing then you just put 2 ticks into the respective boxes and then can read/write all along the different computers as much as you please - although this may only work for Fat32 based file systems.. The easier way would be to add the Windows98 user details onto WinXP (Username, password, etc), so when you try to access files on XP from 98, it pulls XP's login settings for the user. CyberChuck |

I have already tried logging on from the win98se computer to the xp logon but it still doesnot work. Anyway, Thankyou for your help and feel free to give me any more hints. Thanks |

| 159601 | 2003-07-16 02:02:00 | Are you able to ping each computer to the other using the command window? Also turn off XP firewall that is usually the cause of 90% of the XP networking issues | Odin (227) | ||
