1317528 2012-12-10 18:41:00 All that matters is that it makes a quid, and that remains to be seen. Cicero (40)
1317529 2012-12-10 18:43:00 Eh so far I'm yet to see a legitimate negative review of it that didn't appear to be some form of "Oooh if I write a negative article I'll get some good press".

Those complaining about HFR 48fps also seem to be the same people who complain about LED TVs at 200hz, purely because they're not used to seeing something on TV as smooth.

Going tonight, I'll let you know what I think of it ;)

1317532 2012-12-10 19:23:00 I'm with Cicero - it'd be nice if this made some money back for the taxpayer, given that we helped fund it.

Going to see it tomorrow night, 3D and 48fps. I got to tour Weta while they were filming, and hearing about how the post-production crew were making rushes of the footage every day, from essentially 8-cameras-worth of material per scene? Yeah, that's made me keen to see it, though my expectations are low.

1317533 2012-12-10 19:30:00 Viewers should be aware that the film is actually not quite 100% historically accurate. Certain parts are almost fictional. ;) R2x1 (4628)

Yeah most of it's coming in the form of Travel & Tourism.

You seen all the production diary video blogs from Peter Jackson? They're *cool* !! Downloaded and watched them all recently, one after the other... I'm super excited about the movie tonight!

1317536 2012-12-10 20:39:00 Due to me falling asleep during the first lotr movie. I wont be going. Just not my cup of tea. Although I am curious about the 48fps. Snoring in the embassy was very embarrassing for the people with me plod (107)
