This same mod has been interfering in the forum with increasing frequency, and I believe moderators should be accountable for their actions. The merging of two threads has achieved nothing except confuse the issue as it's not now apparent what the conversation is. And we still haven't an answer to the question posed in the title of this thread. I've always thought of this forum as being well moderated by its own members, needing only the occasional reprimand. That moderation has been achieved until recently through tolerance and with humour. Ham fisted disciplinarian tactics such as we've seen lately have been unknown in this forum and I argue are unnecessary. And are unwanted. Rant over. |

Despite perceptions, Chill and Jen can confirm that I act rarely, and when I do, much ado is made about it: a storm in a teacup, as both have said. And have asked you to let it go. That much ado is made when I do act in turn means that I try to act only rarely. I asked you to explain what made my actions egregious, and you haven't done so. You think the existence of this thread demanding that I explain, over and over, isn't a form of accountability? I post here with my real name, and I believe in defending my actions. Perhaps you could explain what accountability means to you, because it seems, from my perspective, that it means you want me to shut up and leave the forums alone. I leave alone everything that isn't a clear breach of the rules. And yes, occasionally I make mistakes. I do believe that you have even seen me back down and admit when I had done so on at least one occasion. I'm sure to do so again. I have no ill-feeling towards any member of the forums. I'm just trying to do a job, and I've hung around reading every post for more than a year to try to do it to the best of my ability and to understand the community before I did so. I'm sorry I stuff up on occasion. C'est la vie. I'm here for good. |

Another "moving finger" can move stuff by the jotload, however. Ask any Pharmacist, getting things moving is excellent business. Slowing the movement is also responsible for a lot of sales. ;) |
