Instead, I tried to have fun with it, to show i have a sense of humour and don't just delete things that are poking fun at me. Clearly that backfired. What would you like me to do, bearing in mind that the post can't be reinstated as it was?dont think anyone here would have been offended if there name was inserted. And yet you put metlas name in? |

Decide what your function should be - a moderator along the lines of which we've survived admirably well for many years, or as Gestapo. And why shouldn't the thread be reinstated? And stop interfering. |

If I have, and you can explain why, I'll reinstate the post. From my point of view, this is my workplace, and someone just posted something that could appear to be from me, regarding our CEO, positions I do not hold and would never consider, and my work colleagues. Can you see why I might consider that it crosses the bounds of what is acceptable on the forum, and why I chose, rather than to delete it, to edit it? |

Zara, a question regarding that comment -- Moderators can delete threads or posts (anytime), and we have all seen threads "edited" a day or so after they have been posted for various reasons by a moderator, well after the normal 15 minutes forum members have on their own posts . Why cant the original be retyped if so desired by the moderator? (Apart from the obvious reasons given earlier on) . I'm very sure that if a moderator made some comments, they can go back anytime and alter the comments . As for deleting threads, there was one that shell remain nameless, :xmouth: it was deleted months after it was started . |
