| 1317612 | 2012-12-04 01:57:00 | The subject is............... For instance did you know that $4 million of taxpayers' money is being spent on the Maori Party's constitutional review? They plan to force a new bicultural constitution enshrining the Treaty of Waitangi as supreme law onto the country. Not bleedin MMP. Correct me if I am wrong. |

Same thing happening in Egypt the muslims want the koran as a basis for the constitution and laws. But 15% of them are Christian about the same percentage as maoris in NZ. Pretty sure the Copts in Egypt would be pissed off if they cant drink piss (they do drink piss I have been there), eat pork, forced to wear head to foot clothing. Most Whites I meet would be pissed off having a dumb treaty enshrined into our British laws. |

"A check on the Waitangi Tribunal’s website reveals that the tribunal has declared that the treaty it uses confirmed Maori sovereignty over all things Maori while giving to the Crown limited power to control new settlers. The website includes former tribunal member Hugh Kawharu’s translation of the Maori Te Tiriti that, unlike the Maori and English texts also posted on that site, includes 11 footnotes that carefully redefine key words. | 1317617 | 2012-12-04 04:17:00 | Dear friends, Are you aware that each week the New Zealand Centre for Political Research think tank puts out a FREE electronic newsletter dealing with topical public policy issues? For instance did you know that $4 million of taxpayers' money is being spent on the Maori Party's constitutional review? They plan to force a new bicultural constitution enshrining the Treaty of Waitangi as supreme law onto the country. If you are concerned, I urge you to sign the "Declaration of Equality" - to remove the Treaty and all race based preferment from our laws. All details can be found on the ConstitutionalReview.org website. If you would like to register for the free NZCPR Weekly newsletter, so you too can be kept informed, you can do so HERE. Please forward this message on to your contacts. Kindest regards, Yes cic that NZCPR Website should be compulsory reading for everyone. They have some excellent articles which expose what the Government is trying to sneak under the Radar. And Ill bet even Nationals staunchest supporters would be horrified if they knew. |

" breakingviewsnz.blogspot.co.nz The actual "Treaty of Waitangi" is a very poor document in my view. I would like to compare it to comparable treaties signed in that era. It seems so open to interpretation. And lets face it, the guy knocked it up in a couple of days. I'd like to read some of the treaties the American Indians signed with the USA in the 1800's. (Well I would if I had the time) |

Yes whenever you ask a Maori radical what they want, they always say we just want the treaty honoured, and when pressured they say it was to be a partnership. |

He had two months to come up with some supporting evidence. But I do think that Winston should have taken it to their caucus, rather than deciding it on his own. |
