1342393 2013-05-21 03:26:00 I'm using a windows 8 laptop. I connect to a wireless network, which requires a passkey. How do I force Win8 to ask for the passkey every time I want to connect, rather than storing it somewhere and re-using it? Tony (4941)
1342394 2013-05-21 07:12:00 Untick the box where you ticked to connect to it. Speedy Gonzales (78)
1342395 2013-05-21 08:13:00 Unless I've missed something, when I next go to "connect", it will do it and use the passkey automatically. I don't want that to happen. I want it to ask for the passkey every time. Tony (4941)
1342396 2013-05-21 08:57:00 Can you delete the connection and start again then this time round set it to not remember gary67 (56)
1342397 2013-05-21 10:33:00 Can you delete the connection and start again then this time round set it to not rememberI'm new to Win8, so I may well be missing something obvious, but I can't see how you "set it to not remember". Tony (4941)
1342398 2013-05-21 11:37:00 When you connect the first time, you enter your password and there's a box which says connect automatically (or words to that effect). Make sure you don't enter a check in that box. Then it should ask for your password every time. Tukapa (62)
1342399 2013-05-21 19:34:00 OK, I'll give that a go. But what if I have already done the connect automatically thing? How do I undo that? Tony (4941)
1342400 2013-05-21 20:05:00 Right click on the wireless network on the bar on the right that comes up when you click on the network icon on the taskbar.
Then select forget wireless network.

1342402 2013-05-21 21:46:00 Click on the Wifi symbol in the Settings charm. Disconnect and then connect again but don't tick the box "Connect automatically" McGinty48 (14880)
