1317911 2012-12-12 19:47:00 It's good morning, then good afternoon, then good evening.
What do do say after midnight.
Goodnight dosen't sound quite right & it's too early for good morning.

1317916 2012-12-12 20:19:00 At one o'clock in the morning I would say that 'Good Morning' would be correct. In truth I would more than likely say something more grumpy.

Any time between midnight and noon is morning.

1317917 2012-12-12 20:24:00 Any time between midnight and noon is morning.

I classify between midnight and 2am as the wee smalls and 2am to 4am as silly'o'clock. After 4am it's morning.

Anyone rings me between midnight and 4am, and my probable greeting is either "I'm in the US. Call later!" or "Did someone have an accident?"

1317918 2012-12-12 21:13:00 ok, let me rephrase it.
You are a business that operates during the small hours & you want to be polite when you answer the phone.
