1317296 2012-12-09 20:31:00 I doubt they paid much for goodwill. ;) R2x1 (4628)
1317297 2012-12-09 20:47:00 Hmmm.

Cheap crap (TWL) with crap service (NLG).

Seems appropriate.

1317298 2012-12-09 21:20:00 To me that is good news.

That is one less overseas owned chain company.

We have far too many of them, taking our profits overseas and taking head office jobs and advertising overseas.

Yes they have been losing money for the last few years.

1317300 2012-12-09 21:36:00 "The Warehouse Group will retain the current Noel Leeming Group management team, who have proven their ability to satisfy customers and deliver growth in a challenging retail environment," said Warehouse Group chief executive Mark Powell.
What a mistake.
They had borrowings of $113.6M and sold out for $65M.

1317302 2012-12-09 22:03:00 Consumers (the general type) are screwed. More overpriced crappy products.

The technologically endowed like most here don't give a stuff. Perhaps it will bring better options/range perhaps it will create a monopoly. We'll see.

Well spotted, a lot of these PE buyouts turn out bad for them.

I heard NL were losing money a few years ago and they were about to go under, your figures seem to re-inforce that.
Lets hope the Warehouse can turn it around and stick it up Harley Norman.

I am putting Noel Leeming on my website as a Kiwi store now.

But 95% of their products are made in China...
