160518 2003-07-17 06:46:00 Are there anyway to download the latest patches for norton system works manually onto your computer instead of running liveupdate.I want to copy it to cd for my friend to install.Since i have a cd writer it would be faster than going to her place and downloading it.Any idea?

160520 2003-07-17 10:10:00 I couldn't download them manually after my Nortons run out last year, so I paid just over $25 for another year of updates, which runs out this Saturday. So I went and looked at paying for another year of updates, and this year it is over $40 Australian for the years updates, so looks like Nortons might just be uninstalled, and I will be another convert to AVG. That is double the price of last year, and even though I know it is worth staying virus free, hopefully AVG will do nearly as good a job. supergran (108)

160523 2003-07-18 01:02:00 Try this,
Go to Program Files/Common Files and copy the folder Symantec Shared to a cd then to the other pc, or if you just want the virus defs then copy the folder called VirusDefs in Symantec Shared to the other pc.
Worked for me when I reinstalled Nortons.
Hope it helps.
