| 160233 | 2003-07-16 03:25:00 | Using Windows XP after I have been using the cdrom either for playing a music disk or running a programme,on closing down I get a panel with the following message: There is no disk in the drive...Cancel...Try again...Continue. This could be some time after I have finished using the cdRom drive and have being doing all sorts of other things. The moment I go to close down up comes this panel. Any ideas please ? heaton |

| 160234 | 2003-07-16 03:34:00 | Try using the right-click option to Eject the CD. The system has seen it inserted, and has taken a note of its identification number. So when you shut down it's helpfully telling you that somehow that disk has been secretly removed. :D Telling the system to eject it should let it know that the disk isn't going to be there. Maybe unsetting the automatic detection of a CD would stop this. It will also stop the system doing things automatically, which might be an advantage. B-) |
