160515 2003-07-18 00:25:00 Hi everyone. I actually bought a HP Vectra with a measly Intel 133Mhz processor. Upgraded to an Intel Pentium 233Mhz and flashed its BIOS and well it WORKS with my Maxtor 80GB hard disk drive when I tried them on a few minutes ago. Hard disk is running on FAT32 on a SINGLE PARTITION. :D turangilee (4211)

160517 2003-07-18 06:30:00 I just fitted a Seagate Barracuda 120 gb drive into an old pIII running Win 98 - the drive was only $190 so I got the biggest one i could find. The mobo would only see 8 point something gigs but the utility from seagate quickly enabled me to get the whole 120 gigs usable (it just loads a bios fix at boot up), so it really isn't a problem - just get what you can afford. I bet that if Seagate do it, any of the other makers will too. andy (473)
