160742 2003-07-19 10:43:00 Welcome to PF1 Duiconsul, nice to have a visitor from the good 'ol US of A.

I think I should start a new movement: Opsimaths of the World United, or OOTWU for short. Trouble is, that sounds like a dyslexic owl. Any other suggestions?

I myself am a closet Opsimath, studiously avoiding all things computing until 1994 when hard commercial reality forced me to confront my opsimathic fears. Since then I have managed to acquire sufficient knowledge to keep me out of trouble at least some of the time, but computing technology advances far faster than the speed with which I acquire said knowledge.

I became proficient in DOS & WFWG 3.11 shortly after W95 was released, skipped W95 completely and at last became comfortable with W98 when W2K was coming of age. XP is not yet on my event horizon, and Linux is simply a bridge too far. :8}

Cheers
