The music in the opening videos play ok, but when you get to gameplay, no sound. Hit esc to get to options page, go to greyed out audio options and when the cursor hovers over it, words saying " No audio hardware" appear at the bottom. Has anyone heard of this or experinced it before. Whats the fix? GTA3 works fine. Running XP Pro |

Basically Vice City needs hardware supported sound card & does not work well with many onboard sound cards. Run dxdiag & do the sound tests & it should configure itself to use a software buffer. But if it's a rip off the internet you probably won't get it to work. There is some info out there on the problem, type Vice City sound into google & you may find some possible fixes, |
