161146	2003-07-19 09:23:00	Hiya I have one of those internal modem/lan cards for the lappie. Not the pcmcia but the really internal ones. I had a faulty one as crossover lan did not work (3Com). So my manufacturer swapped it with a new one (3Com). Then its fine but momentarily the modem had errors regarding opening ports. With this is restarting won't fix it, neither would change the drivers or formatting the HDD. U jus had to wait for a hour or 2 and turn back on.... Then I got cheesed off and I bought another off eBay (Xircom). Then the modem I bought had the classic winmodem errors - slow responding and needing to redial sometimes and sometimes rebooting. Then again I got cheesed off i installed my old one back in. It stuffed up once with that port error screen and since it has worked fine for a week now. Usually it bums up once or twice daily.
