| 161035 | 2003-07-19 05:09:00 | As far as I know shimgvw.dll (shared image viewer) is the Microsoft Photo and Fax viewer, and it will be invoked by Windows itself. So its not a "stand-alone" program that you can find and run, its part of the integrated operating system. | godfather (25) | ||
| 161036 | 2003-07-19 06:08:00 | I've since then been told of a better way to ensure that your preferred program opens particular file types . Go to My Computer, and Tools > Folder Options . Click on the 'File Type' tab, where a window will pop up . for whichever file type, you can select the program to open it . eg, with jpeg, you can set Windows Photo/Fax Viewer (under 'Opens with' > 'change' button), and with PSP/PSF file types you can set Adobe Photoshop to open them (which makes sense since those are Photoshop files . cheers, caffy |
