161727 2003-07-21 05:57:00 Hi Guys,
Can anyone help with my wee problem ? :)
my AGV virus checker noticed a worm in the windows folder.
Something called CFT 2B.32 or some such .
So bright boy here deletes it ...doh

Now I can get to DOS screen and even run the virus checker from its emergency floppy but that deleted file seems to be vital to get windows loading?

Can I use DOS to get it going?
If so what would I type? I don't know any DOS.

Do I need to install windows on top of inself to restore that file?
Would effect my data?
I have a boot disc and the win 98se cd
I have two hard drives.
so can i boot to the second drive and sort the other one from there??

Thanks for any help !!
Cheers
Pete

I think you might need to

If you reload windows over the top then No It will not effect your documents, e-mail, Favorites etc..
